Ubuntu is zulu word that comes from the word umuntu, umuntu which means a person or a human being. Ubuntu has been explained million times by different people, but what it means is "humanity". Some people have defined it as "I am, because you are". Ubuntu in afrikaans can be translated as menslikheid. Other words for ubuntu are Botho and Hunhu for sotho and Shona. Ubuntu is a way of life that Nguni ancestors in South Africa lived.
The word ubuntu is a collection of good morals , there are called principles of ubuntu, below we list some of the principles.
Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu this term means that you are a "human is a human because of other humans" or " I am because you are" or "a person is a person through other persons" does this term "Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu" means the same thing as "ubuntu", not it does not. Umuntu ngabantu serves as a reminder that you are not living in an isolation. Ubuntu is what you are expected to do as human being, like helping poor people, greet people, be nice to people, do not look down on other people.
There is another important zulu phrase that i want to teach, "Inkosi yinkosi ngabantu" this can be loosely translated as a "Chief is a chief because of the people/community", this might not be the perfect translation, some people might say it means "Leaders have power through the people".

Ubuntu teaches good behaviors that are expected from any human, Almost all the values of ubuntu are found in religion, Ubuntu can bring us together no matter what church you do, what race you are, what religion you are, the core values of ubuntu should be practiced by every human being.
Spirit of ubuntu was practiced a long time ago by Nguni tribes in Africa. It is still being practiced in some rural areas of kwazulu natal and eastern cape.
